Bad luck for Ricciardo. Qualifying 6th in his car is an awesome achievement!

Nico's at his hometown grand prix, but it's Alonso who knows how to roll in Monaco ...

at the most glamourous, most prestigious grand prix in the calendar, remember: "Bet on Red" [/Generic Trailer Voice] ...

that design is badass ... good to know Fernando watches Archer too (H) ...

Pretty fvcken sick design, I just might draw it and give it to my little brother as a present since he likes cars, or just keep it for myself too, why not.

2nd podium finish for 'Checo' Perez. Placed 3rd. :33vff3o:

I'm convinced now more than ever, this kid will be a star in F1.

Sauber has a partnership with Chelski, that explains their logo on Sergio's car. Had to look it up and find out, I wondered why he had that hideous logo on the car. (H)

 (H)

Passionate celebration by Alonso. Wasn't easy to come through from 11th on the grid to win the race. And, good to finally see Michael Schumacher on the podium.

???????

You merged the Other Sports forum with the SG Playerès Lounge!!!! Surely you jest!

NBA (every season)
F1 (every season)
Tennis
Tour De France (new thread every year)
Olympics (every 2 years)
NFL (every season)

There were more than enough threads to keep that forum busy. You sicken me.

newbie original is right on. Why did you ever merge the Other Sports forum with Player's Lounge? I understand the movies, music forum in here (lounge) but sports didn't really make sence to me. Yes, I understand there is very little activity but still come on!

I support newbie's protest. :alex:

I think (and this is my opinion only, not SG!) the main problem was we only had one thread for each sport, and none of them were particularly busy on a daily basis. Can't really justify having a dedicated forum with just a handful of active threads.

Yeah, what he said!

(knows he's included in the insult)

TRUE, but what we really need are all the old geezers back. A few of us still faithfull members can't post like crazy and expect to revive this forum.

I miss you SG 2005/2006. :-(

Currently active sport threads = 3

Not really enough to warrant their own forum.

There were loads of forums that were being neglected, missed etc. Putting them together drives more traffic as it's easier for more people to see (people that just visited the lounge will find sport threads, and sports fans have obviously found these).

The sports forum was dead, the lounge wasn't much better. We cleaned up a whole heap of forums, and removed categories to simplify things. That was MONTHS ago. The fact that you only just noticed shows exactly why we don't need the extra forums any more - the users that used to keep them alive now rarely visit.

So Pastor Maldonado is really not getting love from me no 'mo, dude has been constantly getting criticezed for being a less than friendly driver. He's had on-going feuds with Hamilton, Alonso, and now Perez. He's not making any friends with his 'I own this course, get the fvck out my way' driving agenda...

I'm watching the replay from the British GP right now. I tuned in just before Perez got interviewed after he was declared out of the race. He criticized Maldonado because he said that most drivers fight hard to not get passed but in the end they give you some space, while Maldonado (these are his words) 'is stupid, and he shouldn't be out racing with the rest'.

Fvck Pastor Maldonado, dude is a moron out on the race track.

In GP2, Esteban Gutierrez won his 2nd race of the season in the 'feature' race. He's sits 3rd in the leaderboard standings. This made up for Checo's unfortunate collision with that douchebag Maldonado. (H)

Does anyone believe that the London GP will actually take place one day?

With two world class circuits, Silverstone and Donnington Park, it would be a shame to bypass them and host a street race. I know that Silverstone has a contract until 2025 but after that Donnington might have a shot. I don't know why you would choose the London streets as your "racetrack". That is truly awful.
