LOL. He was invisible in most games except in group stage games like Nigeria. Argentina has a much better backbone. He has Di Maria and Aguero whereas Ronaldo has Nani and Quaresma. This is incomparable. He is very well supported with good midfielders including Mascherano and Pastore. The only Argentina weakness is defense but that shouldn't affect Messi.

Aguero is almost always injured and when he plays, he's just a ghost. Higiuain just had the best season ever with Napoli and now he can't pass the ball, he's useless. Di Maria has already missed a big part of the WC, last year's Copa final and now he's again injured. Pastore has never been a relevant player for Argentina.

Yes, Argentina is better than Portugal but don't make this team sound like they are really great or something just because there are a few names. Messi is carrying Argentina.

Watched Italy - Sweden, pundits were critical of Italy but I thought they did fine and knew they would get a late winner. I like Simone Zaza both in principle and in practice

Is there a better international midfielder pairing than Modric & Rakitic? They complement each other so well. Probably Iniesta and Busquets. Imagine not rating Rakitic after these years, unreal player.
