Free kicks - Crossing

Whenever i get a free kick where the angle is too tight to shoot but i want to cross it the computer doesnt give you any option but to shoot. Is there any button you can press to change this? I know in Fifa06 if you press 'C' just before, you will be able to cross it.

I know this is frustrating but I am afraid there is no way to cross it other than pressing short pass and then crossing it manually.
