Free kicks getting easier

Scored about 7 or 8 now, and when I win a free kick around the box these days there's a buzz of expectation.......


What's weird is that it seems harder to score in the classic free kick fashion - right footers curling the ball to the left away from the keeper, and vice versa for left footers. I score far more regularly by taking a free kick on the right with a right footer, and hitting it with the outside of the boot, sending it to the right. I guess the fact that the ball doesn't seem to travel as far means it's more likely to beat the keeper.

And if a left footer is about to shoot in the left corner and he has no outside-extra abilities? Do you change from kick-taker then?
Now you frequently score from free kicks, does that affect the CPU's ability to score? So does the CPU also score more?

i've been scoring quite a few now too

it all started one happy evening when playing Master League and i had just signed Nakata (he's dirt cheap but has great stats). My team were on a bit of a winning streak but Nakata was pretty ordinary in his first two games - well, he was bloody awful actually. But in his third game, I won a free kick - up stepped Nakata and effortlessly curled the ball into the top corner - my first ever PES free-kick goal outwith practise. Nakata went on to score a hat-trick that game. But he pretty soon went back to playing crap again so I dropped him.

Later, I deceided to have a go at a World Cup on level 5 and to give myself a chance, played as Brazil. I scored my highest ever win on level 5 (6-1 against China), including a free-kick goal from Rivaldo.

Since then, I've scored quite a few. I don't think I'm doing anything special - sometimes they just go in - maybe I get lucky and hit the power exactly right but I usually just go for 75% power and then curl away from the keeper.

There's a guy who was talking about Beckham missing 30 in one game and a Greek guy scoring 3. I think it's just a case of sometimes they go in, sometimes they don't. I still think there's an element of the CPU deciding whether it wants to let you score at that particular moment and if the CPU happens to be feeling generous, provided you hit a half decent shot, it'll let you score. Maybe the CPU doesn't like Beckham much at the moment - after all, Fergie has dropped him too.

Well ive had a fantastic night for freekicks tonight. id only scored 1 before tonight. Then my mate came round for a few games and i scored 3 against him. They were all towrds the left centre of goal and the first one was about 30 meters out and i aimed towards the outside edge of the wall and about 60% power and curled it in and it went just inside the post. YEHHEEE. THe 2nd one was on the edge of the D slightly to the left and i floated it over the wall and curled it just inside the post again, keeper no where near it. The best was the 3rd though was the best, all of 38 meters out, and i curled it round the wall again with forward aftertouch as well and 75% power and it went like a rocket straight in the top corner bending in at the last minute. My mate was gobsmacked LOL:D i also hit the post with one and had another clawed out of the top corner by the keeper so these free kicks are looking up
