Full-length PES2 level 5 match

Who played the match? You, Anamorphosis, or Goku?
Howmany HD space costed the whole match?
I like to do something similar too, but my winTV card also records the sound and then the HD space for one match is too much.

BTW if you change the kicker for a free kick, you don't need to go to the formation menu anymore; you can do that with the in-game menu :)

Was a nice match with to different halfs :)

It was me playing. :p
The whole match took about 30MB of space, as I compressed the video while capturing with Virtual Dub (check the goal submission FAQ at ISS Extreme for compression settings, it's under 'articles'). You can compress the sound pretty heavily, but the best thing to do is to disconnect all devices that might capture sound.

And yeah, the_man told me straight away after watching the match that I didn't have to go into the formation menu thing. I was once aware of that, but from habit I just go into the formation thing. :p

I replied to your flag question at ISS Extreme by the way.

yupp thanks for sharing this, finally I get to see a pes game:) although it seems to be very fast paced , not what i expected. perhaps its just the video that makes it look that way?

No, it's not the movie, it's his playing-style :D
In fact you also can choose to play a much slower build-up.
That's the nice thing of PES 2: you can choose your own playing-style :)

Yeah...it seem very fast the gameplay :( and it looks like the dude who was playing had a pretty easy time beating the ass out of the computer on level 5 :(

maybe, i should buy Pes = i like that game :)
or buy i bloody modchip and get Winning eleven 6 Final?

But thanks for those movies...

Anyone who has played PES2, knows that the game doesn't move THAT fast. Captured videos move extremely faster than actually playing it. Partly due to the frames you loose when you compress the vid as much as we (Ana and myself) do. When I captured my Bra vs Ger first half video, the original size was 140MB, compressed down to 20MB so that it is a reasonable download.

As Han said, you can to some extent set the pace of the game yourself. I never intended to play this fast, but due to what the_man mentioned about frame-rates, and since I have to play through the PC-screen, the pace of the game will be faster than usual.

And if you look at the game, you'll see that I was quite lucky to score 4 goals, and even more lucky not to concede any. And even though I don't consider myself even half as good as many of the people around here, I do have quite a lot of experience with the ISS-games (having played them since 98/99), so it will definitely not be a walk in a park on level 5 if you're new to the series (even coming straight from PES).

Two of the goals were PK's too :p

I know this is asking a lot, but if one of you decided to make the SAME video (Brazil-Germany for example) of Winning Eleven 6, that would be the ultimate comparison.

I guess the work needed is to play one good game and then transfer it to a compressed video file.

Just a thought to end all debates of gameplay...

cool...

Wow, Germany sure missed some critical open chances! lol :crazyboy:

It could have easily been a tie, well... actually 4-3 :)! Way to capitilize on their missed chances!;)

To the comment about the speed of the game, that video makes it look a lot faster. It actually is pretty obvious on how frames are being skipped! The choppy movements are a huge tell-tale sign!

One thing I couldn't really see except for maybe the last goal, I think, was how they changed the ball physics so that passes and such will have a slight curve to them. Is that actually something noticable in the game, or it is just for piece of mind?

Also, I think I saw a little bit of added animation during the game, when Rivaldi ;) had the ball in the second half. Was that one of the other improvements?

thanks for making those vids though.!

Cheers

It's not your imagination, the curl is in the game.

Have you included audio or is my PC screwed? I have DivX and can see the vid but I get a hiss (could be compressed crowd noise?) for audio. Any ideas??

I am pretty sure the video was made without sound to keep the space down for the file size. So, no worries about your comp being "screwed"! :)

Great finishing by Germany, seriously i thought the finishing was verey bad in the prevous games...now it seems even worse...the mentaly skill has WAY to much influence on strikers.

Bad defending by the CPU as well :/

Just like in the real WC final Germany deserved to win.

I am even more excited about getting PES2 now. My bid on Ebay for a PS2 is nearly through, and seeing that vid makes me sooo excited. I'm glad to hear that's speedier than the game actually is..
