It's quite sad if people are feeling insulted because someone uses a different way of writing. Why don't you feel insulted because we are writing all your names in roman letters instead of cyrillic?

your list you posted later shows you how difficult it is to care for such touchinesses: you wrote macedonia which i was told to be insulting greek people. i think that's nonsense like your case, but YOU should watch out not to make mistakes if you claim that for yourself.

I think this discussion don’t interesting, because Victor correct Dinamo Kiev at Dynamo Kyiv.

sorry, didn't mean to offend you. there is just so many people who tell patchmakers not to do this and not to do that because someone could be offended. and i just don't see how i can insult somebody by using a city name that i know for 20 years.

there are cities in the USA with old indian names, there are french cities with german names etc. and no one is insulted there.
but you're right, no need to argue.

I've always know the city as Kiev and only since UEFA decided the use the proper transliterated name from the Russian has it become Kyiv, other than that the English name is Kiev, same for Moscow, the proper transliterated version is Moskva but the name is really Moscow.

Silly matter to discuss really.
