Game crashes when starting ML or Cup match..

For some reason, my PES just started to crash when I load my ML and start the next fixture, it freezes at the start match screen where you can make your substitutions before the match starts.
At first I didn't know why it kept crashing until I removed the ML save file from the folder1 and the game worked fine after that. Now, I tried to start a new International Cup, and as I was about to start the first match, same thing happens the game just froze... anyone have any solutions?

Just started the first macth of my second season in ML and I have the same problem...

Anyone a solution?

I figured out its the save file...if it crashes, you must delete the ML save file you have otherwise it will crash even in exhibition matches. Same goes for Cup mode. However , I found that it wont crash in Cup mode if you dont save it, so basically you gotta play the whole thing all at once...there has to be a solution, and no, re installation doesn't work.

same problem for me........

I thought the patches were the problem, but I tried it with original afs's and still crashes.....

HELP!

I also thought it was about the patches, but it isn't just like ::BiAnCoNeRi:: says.

I've playd 5 years of master league and in the pre-season matches it get stuck (Ajax - Feyenoord). It really sucks, cause I can't play further now and all my progress is going to be lost if there isn't going to be a fix.

So if anyone has a fix? Pleas post it :D

I have the same problem now, I had the superpatch 1.0 installed and the game worked fine and I was in the 3rd year of master league and for no reason one day it just crashed before starting the match.

So I installed updated 0.1 & 0.2 and removed the save files of the master league and even every replay I had, and still I have the same problem.

Pls could someone help because I can't live without PES5.

How about checking your save folder? If it's over 8MB that might be the problem.

I have that problem to.... its something with the league save game, if i start a new league and save it then the game freezes everytime I start a match, training, etc

i can solve the problem by removing the league save game but now i cant do any league...

i had the same problem.
what i did was i moved all the replays i had save to a different folder (so i can keep them)
you can deleted them too if you don't want to save them.

the problem is probabaly bacause the PS2 version max's at 8 Mb. (because of the memory card)
i just have the neccesary save file and the option file and everything is fine again.
