Game freezing

Hi

I just bought this nice game and really like it. Unfortunately, it freezes sometimes, always in the middle of a match. The game really freezes, with the commentators repeating the same syllable and the graphics are frozen.

I am running Windows XP with a GeForce 3 Ti200 card. Crashes happens both in 1024x768 and 1280x1024 resolutions.
I am using driver version 30.82.

Am I the only one who have seen this error ?

freezing

hi sgatke i have the same problem but worst, i have a ati radeon 8500dv, p4 2gz and 512ram, in windowns xp service pack 1 installed, and the last ati drivers, the interface works nice, some slowdowns in the pointer, i can select the teams, but when the loading screen complete the game freeze in black and i hear about a half second of crowd repeating over with some noise.
any help?

I have an ATI 9700 and am going through the same situation...I have been emailing the EA Support and they state it could be the creative labs audigy drivers I have installed...the only issue is that these are the latest drivers...so I am at a loss.

maybe there is the problem, my sound card is an audigy too (mp3)

i dont have this prob, but i think it might have something to dow with windows xp being **** unless you have xp professional. it ****s every game up. thats y i got 2000 professional. the game runs fine 4 me.

My system is Intel 1.7 ghz, 512 Mb ram, SB Live and GeForce 3 Ti200. By the way - I am running Windows XP Professional, English version.

It could be the SoundBlaster drivers causing the problem, but, as another person posted, I am also running the latest driver version.

I hope EA can solve this, because it takes away the pleasure of the game, when you're leading Man Utd 2-1 with 10 minutes left - and then the game freezes

This has not happen to me, but my guess is that is it Windows XP. A lot of games has problems with it, and this may be one of them. Try to e-mail Windows and/or see if they have a patch.

Well, the game is supposed to support Windows XP, so I don't accept that as course for the problem.
My guess is there is a driver problem somewhere, and I am tinted towards the SoundBlaster drivers, dunno why, just an idea.

Does anyone have a clue on how to eliminate this error ?
