Game is so god damn slow...

Is it just me that has to wait for well over 20 minutes everytime I start a new game?

I wanted to start a network game with my cousin, I picked 1 league with 1 division on normal database and it took 25 minutes and it still wasn't loaded, I couldn't even load up the game.

Plus ever since I reformatted it has taken ages, one time I changed the database and started a new game, left it for 45 minutes before it eventually loaded.

I have an AMD 3GHZ XP with 1GB of RAM, this is insane.

yea same here, its fast for me. Your computer is pretty fast too kingpug, its a bit weird that it takes so long

this is weird. i'm using P4 1.6GHz + 512mb RAM laptop. works fine for me as well

lol I found out what it was, I made a custom .ddt with the tool and when I deleted that I made a network game that was loaded up within a minute, good job I was sending my cousin it or I would have never twigged

Btw what settings do you all use, like how many leagues/divisions and what database size?

I done the championship and premiership with a full database for the league but normal overall. I guess my PC should be able to handle alot more?

4-6 leagues(standard the top divisions from the top four nations: England, Germany, Italy, Spain and atleast the top two divisions from the nation I'm going to play in. Ofcourse diffrent when I do a lower league game)

Runs like a dream. But I suppose it could run a few more, just don't feel the need to select more nations/leagues.

The answer isn't automaticcaly the ram and how many ghz you have. If your harddisk is almost full for example that you use 79gb out og 80gb, this can cause a the PC to work slower. For me the game is working very well with 2,6ghz and 1gb ram, about my harddisk i use 350gb out of a total 360gb (this is not healthy for my computer)

Well I have 56gb free, but saying that my HD is rubbish, 5200 RPM and a mere 2MB cache, I ordered a SACA or something, something like 150MB, 8MB cache and 7200 RPM, so I guess that should make a difference.

Using a P4 2.8 with 1GB of RAM and it still takes ages to do anything.

I've heard it might be something to do with HP laptops not having good disk controllers
