This deserves to be in the soccer forum because the movie is about one of the biggest upsets in World Cup history. Its the story of the US national team during the 1950 World Cup. The trailer is posted on the website, which gave me goosebumps. This movie can only help soccer in America, so i hope its good.

I think Brad from Home Improvement is in the movie.

makes sense, he was in an episode of Home Improvement where he was being scouted, got injured, then played real good later in the game.

edit: just watched it, and yeah its Brad from Home Improvement. it looks pretty good, its probably been made beacuse of the success of the movie Miracle.

Can't wait to seee the movie. Barely anyone knows about the 1950 team, even soccer fans. Some of it may be that they didn't win the world cup, or do well the rest of the tournament, that overshoadowed the victory.

I think this movie is gonna be great!!! Cant wait for it and im really glad for Americans getting to see this piece of history on the big screen.

And the 1950 World Cup too....one of the greatest ever. (Its a little wierd making a movie about that though since the universal memory of that cup is the Final.......its kinda like Making a movie about the USA 1980 Olympic team (Miracle) and base it on Costa Rica beating Sweden in a group game


still.....Im really looking forward to this (USA beating England was huge at that time)

Anyway, im intrested in the movie, but I dont think ill be going out of my way to see it. It looks good, but those heroic, "patriotic", non fictional sports movies dont really appeal to me, no matter what country theyre about.

Just b/c they didn't win the WC or any other game in that WC doesn't take away from the fact that they beat england.

If I remember correctly, he was an ODP-level player while in high school, about 8-10 years ago. I can't remember where at, though.

looks like another movie proving how great americans are to me , waht does Patrik stuart mean by " They were the greatest Team in any sport i have ever seen" . Who is he talking about ?? the American team??
