Which is the right configuration for this graphic card to see the names and numbers on the back of the shirts? The in-game configuration is set to high details and 32 bit.
I use windows XP and I tried using nvidia drivers version 4.0.7.2 and 4.1.0.9 with no results....
Can anybody help me, plzzzz, I'm going crazy...

funny, i use the same card as yours but i have never had that problem before. my problem is the graphical glitch of the players, especially the collars and the appearance of two small boxes on the shorts. the graphics is also distorted during replays at certain angles. reducing the display to 16 bits doesnt solve it. i forgot what i did before that did the trick but i had to re-install drivers and fifa again and the problem returned. do you also experience this?

I also use the same card as you.
First you have to install directx 9 finall and remove your nVidia drivers and install the latest again from nVidia.com, if that is not working you have to go to you options from you Geforce 2 card, set everything to standard mode.

When you remove your current nVidia driver you could see low colors, when you restart your computer after installing directx 9 finall and the latest drivers it is all good.

Try this: Antialiasing Off
Anisotropic Off
and set colour quality to 32 Bits

BTW, can you see names and numbers with this g.card? How do you do it?? I need help!!!

i dont know how i did it. i have never had that problem.

try adding this line in the soccer.ini file

PLAYER_MIPMAP_NAMES_DISABLED = 1

im not sure its the answer tho.

do u mean those little bright squares on the shorts? In that place, where number is supposed to be? I have them too:( Also there is some kind of a bright square in front of the kit (in place of number) and the whole back is highlited:( It doesn't change color but is brighter:( It's really annoying. Did u get rid of this? If anyone did, please let me know. Btw, if i put details "low", then it works, but my pc should be too good to put it low...

no... my only problem is the squares on the shorts, the collar glitch, and the contortion of the graphics during replays at a certain camera angle.

To get rid of the collor glitch you just change the colour depth to 32bit ingame eg. 1024x768x32

umm.... err.. dont know what the hell you guys have been doing, but I have the same card and never had any problems but one- slight clipping around the collar in 16bit, changed it to 32bit and no problems

i also have GeF2 mx 400 64mb, and the game runs smoothly, but only in low settings! But in low i don't have numbers on back! When I switch to medium the names appears, but the game becomes so crappy, that it's not enjoyable!
So I would like to take out every good graphics from the medium settings except the names and numbers!
Any solutions?? Thanx in advance!!:D

Could you tell me what's your g. card configuration, plzz?. I've tried with directx 9 and the latest drivers but I still can't see names and numbers.... I have w.xp, PIII- 1Ghz, 128 ram.

My pc is a sh*t! It's a shame to share it with you, but anyway! here is my config:
P II 333Mhz
128Mb ram
dual op systems:WinXP professional SP1 + Win98Se (both op systems have the same prob, but on win98 the game is a bit smoother)
Geforce 2 mx 400 64MB with 2X AGP(i dunno what AGPb does mean)
