Getting tugged from behind

Hey all, having had the full PC game for a couple of days now I have one big problem - it seems that whenver I get clear of the CPU, the defender just tugs at my player from behind. This either gets me a free kick or results in the defender getting the ball, when otherwise I would have had a free run on goal.

When I get free with an attacker, my instinct is to run across the defender so that he can't tackle me, but on pes4 it seems that this just results in me losing the ball.

Any ideas on how to stop this happening?

yup, the CPU likes pushing you to make you loose your balance when you are running away from them...

also, if there's a ball you and CPU fight, and both player coming from different direction, you'll player will loose balance (there's a dumb animation that the player spins) if the ball goes to your side tho, then the 2nd dumb animation comes in and your player falls to the ground and the CPU takes it

its totally unrealistic and is easily the worse part of PES4, ive had PES4 PS2 since the day it came out and have played it probably ever day, its that annoying i still shout at it now.

it is so, so very unrealistic.

Use super speed burst and they wont catch up to you

Well here is how I do it not sure if its right but it works for me...............

I tap R2+R1+ direction i want to run all at the same time........and strikers like Henry will push the ball further up than they normally do............Works like a charm against slow defenders

Nah dude I have done it with slower players as well........Not just henry

Have to agree with TROD. For some strange reason KONAMI has made this tugging thing the favourite defensive method of CPU player. Unfortunately it's too effective for my taste. Every time you try to get away CPU defender starts shoving, pulling shirt and stuff and if that particular player is not Maradona then he usually stops fighting and gives up. And most annoying it all happens without your involvement, player just stops responding to your button taping and stands still for 3-4 seconds.
I don't understand what developers ment making players behave this way.
