Nov 5 (Reuters) - Heracles Almelo goalkeeper Martin Pieckenhagen shocked AZ Alkmaar with an injury-time header to salvage a point in a 2-2 draw in the first division on Saturday.

Alkmaar striker Shota Arveladze set up Tarik Sektioui for the opening goal in the 42nd minute before the league's leading scorer made it 2-0 himself with his 12th strike of the season soon after the interval.


Denis Calincov pulled one back for the visitors before the 33-year-old Pieckenhagen headed home the equaliser for Heracles four minutes into injury time.

The result left second-placed Alkmaar with 25 points. They trail leaders PSV, who enjoyed a 3-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam, by three points. Heracles remain 15th in the 18-team league with 12 points.

I guess everyone's forgotten a certain Jose Luis Chilavert. The guy scored like 50++ goals in his career, quite a few international one's as well

Yeah, the difference though, is that Chilavert scored from set pieces, while this guy scored with a header. Massimo Taibi i think scored for Reginna in a similar way like 4 years ago.

All these goals you are speaking of is when the goalie acts as a field player, but have you ever seen a goalie score while acting as a goalie? My goalie did it last season, he punted the ball, and my goalie has a kick and thei was a wind, it bounced once around the 18, the goalie went to get it, and misjudged it, bounced over him and went into the net.

Cerny (Spurs Reserve goalie) did that in a reserve match.. against Tim Howard. Tim Howard is a joke of a goalie.

Remembered it clearly. It was against Charlton and he equalised for Blackcurn. But they still lost the game by another injury time goal.
