Goals of the month thingy

I dont seem to understand how they pick those... do they choose them randomly or something? ive had games where todorov dribbles through 3 defenders from the midfield, shoots out from 25 yards out to beat the goalkeeper in the corner of the goal, and not even a spot in the top 3 for the award. the first 2 spots went to guys who received the ball WIDE OPEN in front of the goal and tapped it in, and the third one was a header from a corner.

its been like that for a while... ive played 5 seasons now and goals of the month get less and less spectacular... ive been in there a couple of times, but the goals which they choose simply astonish me... not that they are not good goals, but when i check out scores from around the league that other teams play, some of their goals are amazingly skillful, yet even they dont make it into the top 3. so... im just a bit confused at how they choose this. :confused:

no i have to say, ive been amazed at how accurate the ones in my game have been. I can genuinly imagine them popping up on the premiership.

At the news item where the goals are being described click on the description of the goal and you'll be shown the goal.

never seen one of those... long shots are probably 75% of all the goals of the month in my game...

i never bother looking at mine anymore, when your 70 yard curler doesn't even make it into the top 3, which is incidentally won by a cross, headed into the net (oooh) then it loses all meaning! The descriptions are the same every month anyway, so i think the goals are just prerecorded highlights.

Mine are usually "screamers from the edge of the area" or something. Occasionally a great dribble but about 90% long shots. I wish they'd put some other great goals in, some great lobs and dribbling don't get in.

I missed out on goal of the month when I lobbed the keeper on the volley from 40 yards out! Came second to a stock standard 35 yard screamer..:(
