They have the middle game right now but man does the shooting look scripted as ever/ i want a natural feel like in We9 or even We8. All they have to implemenet is the kind of goal scoring that has AIMING and result like WE8 or 9.

man I WANT Fiffa to be good,but it has to improve it's goal shooting. :jambo:

look tomba thay can't copy the winning eleven 8 or 9 or any other konami franchise cause thay have a copy wright but you have a point in the shooting area it needs some improving and other areas too but thay can't make any of it to look like the we or pes because of the copy wright issue's and not to be like any other game

If they took a page out of WE 8 fromt he freekick system, why not the shooting. Its not like winning eleven put a copyright title on shooting. Fifa are the ones who put copy right on stuff like that, eg off the ball control, first touch control.

Well IMO those are gimmicks and not "copyright" slogans.


Now yes it looks ok but again you have to PLAY the game first before you could judge it. I mean you could get a certain feel of the game by watching videos but you must play the game and get the true feeling of it. Again when the game comes out then you could B*tch all you want but don't b*tch about a game thet you havent played yet.

Those are copywritten, look at the box of the game, it says so. Or the intructions manual, they have that Copyright sign by it.

I think it's just the name "off the ball" and "first touch" thats copyrighted. So if Konami wanted to they could do something exactly like "off the ball" control, they would just have call it something else. But anyway lets hope the shooting is similar to WE and I think it will be because they are trying to get there gameplay close to WE's level.

The game is not out yet.. why complain? My guess is that Ea will focus in playability more than other years but copying WE is not the way...

The shooting in FIFA has always been my main concern, it always leaves me emotionless no matter how much of a struggle you have to break the defence, the whole emotion and passion of scoring a goal is taken away as soon as you shoot the ball. Something is clinically wrong with it.

Very true. That's Fifas biggest problem to me. No emotion.

Tbh, it should have been named Pro Evolution Rugby .. Considering the amount of shots that go over the bar ... :funny:

Nah nah the shooting in WE9 and even we8 are spot on. i've been able to make comletely accurate shots top corner of the net bottom corner of the net and so on in fifa it's just eh shoot it when you get near really.

but fifa does look to have a very very nice inside middle game gong on this year it's just that the shooting doesn't look as rewarding as passing the ball around still

As for the comparison to WE8, all I can say is that it isn't that great either as to get off a hard shot you have to be facing the goal which imo is sometimes unrealistic as well, in reality players can get a good curved shot off when facing the sidlines

With regards to the emotional component of scoring in Fifa, yes it lacked in past editions, but after watching a few of the vidoes on that Portugese site ( like the high lob header over the goalie and the movement of the net after it) I have to say that is something I never saw in a Fifa title before and it gives me hope that we will finally enjoy scoring a variety of goals in 06 (and on 360 ;) )

Man, i remember playing a game in winning eleven, in my franchise, and losing 2-0
i remember each goal, i jumped up and celebrated like i scored the winning goal of the world cup final myself...

Im waiting for the day, i will do that in Fifa.

One thing they need to fix in the shooting is that scoring from half field crap. Its so crazy how someoine can score from half field at ease in 2005.

You don't need to be facing the goal every time, but it helps. In PES4 the other day I sent a curler into the far post with C.Ronaldo. Think Figo vs ManU in the CL a few years ago. I immediately dropped the controller and started celebrating as if I had scored the goal. Well, at least until my wife told me to stop.....

But let me focus on Fifa. If they fix the shooting, then they will win me back. The already seem to have fixed corners and free kicks(you don't have to shoot on goal everytime anymore. Thank God!). I hope they also fix player runs, cause in 05 you barely ever see R.Carlos make a run, which is very unrealistic.

so true, i had the same problem 3 years ago, WHEN I JUST PLAYED PES FOR THE FIRST TIME. :rolleyes:

To shaft, im sure you would love Fifa where 90% of your shots are on target, no matter where you are...

Shots going over the bar are realistic. Not Adriano scoring a right footed screamer. Lets not turn this into a comparison with PES or winning eleven, you will only cause a big arguement which you cant win...
