FIFA 2003 is supposed to be an accurate representation of a football match, perhaps of EPL matches with Motson as commentator.

Someone screaming 'GOAAAAAAAAL' is not exciting, it's annoying and tiresome. Motson's response to a goal is no less passionate - you think passion is determined by the amplitude of your voice?

And what about Barry Davies? He's a superb commentator, and a lot of the time he is absolutely SILENT when a goal is scored, contemplating what has happened and trying to think of an adequete and SENSIBLE response, rather than stating, er, 'GOALLLLLLLLL!'

:p

its not really about the voice pitch level. can you say you feel that you have scored a goal and that it counts, with the way the commentator says? i mean sometimes you hear "the keeper gave him the goal with where his position" and then another sentence and thats it. i guess there is no emphasis. its just so limited thats it.

and its good you pointed out that fifa 2003 is supposed to be an representation of football. but i dont think many would agree it comes close and the shallow commentary is just but one of its problems. :)

The only over excited commentator England has is Jonathon Pearce. He'sa nut when it comes to football, good to listen on the radio, on the television, well, I think that would put anyone off T.V for life. :)

That just shows how much you know about football, and not to insult english football, but i get really bored watching it Plus, its more that what you call saying "gooooaallll", i find them more interesting to listen to that John Motson, OMG!!! I think you are just a jealous bastar*;)

i think that the commentators should have a lot more quotes!

casper

my sentiments exactly.
shouting a goal is as exciting as the analysis of the goal by english commentators.
