Been a while since I either watched an awards show live or sat through it pretty much in its entirety. So I did that last night with my parents and younger brother and rather enjoyed myself despite my resevations since there's hardly ever any logic to these awards with their general absurdities and awkwardness.
Anyway, here are some random thoughts on what I saw that stuck out in my mind....
-Black women shouldn't be trusted with the naming of their babies
-pretty astonishing to see the complete 180 that Marry J. Blige has made in her career......honestly. From a malcontented, mentally insane, angry drug addled crackwhore into a bible thumping, appreciative, musical royalty.....WTF? I want the strung out, foul mouthed Mary who used to give interviewers serious fits with her demeanor back, man.......
-Sting........WOW............how old is this ****er again? My goodness, man. What a ******* horse....the epitome of health and vitality (two bad that he's got a one and a half inch pecker, though, eh?....hurhurhur) Anyway, yeah. I used to make fun of this ****er back in the day when he'd make appearances with his family (very entertaining and affable individual btw) on the Stern show and evangelize about the greatness of going vegan, meditating a lot/doing yoga, and being able to **** for like 6hrs straight (with his little nubby....hurhur) with the help of tantric sex as anti-aging tools..........and his uncanny likeness for Flea.......am I late on that? The two could pass for brothers......even twins from certain angles, man. Again, that just speaks to how well he's aging......wouldn't surprise me in the least if he lives on for another century or so, man.
-Dixie Chicks.............great performance. That song that they did was just beautiful and touching.......not gonna front, man. It was truly moving. And when the chubby, short one (candidate for that f"amous broads you're too ashamed to be aroused by" thread?) Anyway, I dig 'er, but when she pulled out the Nelson "HaHa" taunt.........I about fell off the couch in laughter, man. It was so ballsy and succinct, man. To "HaHa" all the other losing nominees, even though it was clearly in a joking manner, was very sweet. One of the best moments in awards speech history.

-hate to say it, but, Stevie needs to be put down.......he's not in the best of health from the looks of it and these folks, his caretakers, should stop parading him around........or maybe I'm completely off on this? I mean, he seems fairly happy.........I might have some irrational issues with the disabled or something.

-Christina Aguilera's tribute to James Brown........total surprise, man. Whata powerful performance, man. I was totally blown away in the manner that she executed that song. Just unbelievably phenomenal and heartfelt.
RHCP...............no comment. I'm too prideful, arrogant and in denial to make myself look like a fool here infront of Virgo with the true feelings I have about them in their current state..........I don't wanna dine on some crow, man......... don't wanna eat crow..........not just yet.
