Graphic editing help -- a small favour

Hi Guys,

Haven't been on the forums in awhile, but a friend in need is a friend indeed, or something like that.

Anyways, I am trying to get a logo for my soccer team, for next year (kits, on our website, etc.).

I found a pretty cool logo I want to rip off, but I don't have the ability to tweak it to our colours and our name. Read on, if you wouldn't mind helping me out:

I want to keep the design, but want to try out cobalt (royal) blue, instead of the red, and the writing to say 'Bays United', at the top of the ring, and 'Panthers', at the bottom, in a similar font.

I can't offer you much in exchange for your help, other than a huge thanks (unless you have something in mind). You'll get to see your editing graced on a great team's website, illegally.

edit: if this is difficult to make look good, just through editing, if you have the skills to create a new one from scratch, that'd be just as good;)

Two requests, for you or another (I tried, but I have no skills):

1. Is there a way to make it sharper, and cleaner? It's great for what it is, but we may go as far as using this logo for on our jerseys, next year. Let me know if that's doable, at all. The colour scheme is great, by the way.

2. Do you think you could also do a version that is made for a white background (the trim aroudn the very outside fades to white, instead of blue, in other words)? The blue will be good for our uniforms, the white works for the site, at least how it it now.

If these aren't simple edits, then don't bother, because it's very good, already.
