guys guys guys stop it. i am bulgarian and i am a fan of CSKA Sofia. my opinion on this is, levski is a very good team in bulgaria. if the bulgarian stars play for levski and cska instead of playing for foreign countries, than i think caka and levski would be very popular in europe. i remember early 80s when stoichkof and other 94 world cup stars use to play for cska and cska reached the semi finals of uefa cup.
bulgarian teams are better charecters with their stars actually playing for them. i am sure they will challange the greek teams.
this season besiktas who beat barcelona 3-0 at the CL, which had very hard time front of Levski qualifying to the CL, i mean levski is a strong team this year.

Look what happened in EURO 2000, I'm not saying they are bad, they just aren't up their with teams like Brazil, Argentina,Italy,Portugal,France etc... Those teams are "World Class", not Germany and England anymore...

Germany and England will always be world class teams because of the young talent they have in their countries and their football tradition - and if your little brain can't comprehend that - that's another thing...

and yes , Scottish teams are far better than Greek teams RIGHT now - let's just see who will get farther in CL - Panathinaikos, Olimpiacos or Rangers....

Canadian your a discrace to the name man. Just worry about what Don Cherry has to say on Saturday night hockey and leave us Greeks alone. As far as your debate about the Scotish and the Greek leagues. You may and some others might think that the Scotish league is better but UEFA doesn't think so. That's why there are 6 Greek teams playing in the european compitition. Hold on. That means if there were also 6 Scotish teams playing for european compititions that would mean more than half there league. Just let it be. If it was someone else making those statements i'd say ok. But when it your only source of soccer is TSN Greham Legatte (The Biggest soccer fony alive) I doubt your credentials count. Just worry about keeping the reamining 6 Canadian NHL teams were they belong and leave us alone.

Kostas - read what i said b4 and maybe you'll understand that all that matters is not the places in the european tournaments but the achievements - Greece can have all their teams in the European CL but will still do nothing - unlike Scotland - and you know what that means? that means QUALITY over QUANTITY....

CANADIAN u always are so one-sided!Do you really think Bulgaria has better national squad or even better teams?JESUS!One of Bulgaria's top players in the national squad is a not-always-basic player in AEK.He is Milen Petkov.And u dont have many better players(if any at all!).As for the teams...nah I wont be judging your opinion here I think its ridiculous...I'll only say that when Greek teams get drawn with Bulgarian teams we all think its a good draw!
We are happy what else can I say?

this a forum for the greek league so if you don't like get out of here...anyway we did NOT ask for your opinion as far as the greek league is concerned...if you think that any bulgarian team is better than AEK Athens or Olympiakos or any other team from greece...well that's your problem and not ours...and DENIS i did not called levski a ****ty club so i expect you to pay more respect to mine...All Europe knows who is better...you are the only ones who say that you are better...giovanni said that we pray we play with bulgarian teams in european cups and that's true...we do...cause we know we will qualify...
check out the players of AEK Athens and THEN talk about good teams wise guy...
Do you have players like Tsartas ,Nikolaidis,Giovanni or Limperopoulos in your teams?NO you don't so stop talking...

Bulgaria no doubt has some good players. Their club teams I feel are not on the same level with Greece's though.

Okay people, let's get some facts straight. I've been waitching what has been going on in this post ever since it was started.

First of all, the person who said that the Scotish league is better than the Greek league has got his facts messed up. He can't prove it. Now, he also said that that the Scotish league is SIMILAR to the EPL. He didn't say it's better, he said it's similar and I have to agree with him. Scots and English are from the same region, they developed football around the same time, there are a few things similar in these leagues, hi air play e.t.c. Now, obviously the EPL is much better than the Scotish league. I am Greek, but that doesn't mean I support the Greek league to the point where I'll become unrealistic. I happen to be a huge Olympiakos Piraeus F.C. fan and when it comes down to the Rangers and Olympiakos, Rangers are slightly better. In a rank of the best Scotish teams and Greek teams this is how I would rank them:
1. Rangers
2. Olympiakos
3. Panathinaikos/Celtic
4. AEK Athens
5. Iraklis/PAOK
