Group B - Sweden vs. Paraguay [P+R]

MAN!! That was sooo frustrating to watch. I supported Sweden from the start because I have a bias for European sides (duh...) but I almost pulled my hair out watching that. It was so frustrating to watch them miss chance after chance after chance. When Freddy finally scored I actually jumped up from my seat and cheered :D

I feel bad for Paraguay though because they fought hard but it just seems like they didn't have enough this time around :(

Dude. You're an idiot.

Paraguay played some very decent football and really deserved a goal, but lacked the last touch. Their players worked really hard and they're obviously going to be a bit annoyed with conceding a goal so late in the game, they deserved at least a draw and i wouldn't have begrudged them a victory.

Yeah, you're right... at least Paraguay, for their efforts, deserved to be ahead of England, in the table... good effort from them! :jap:

wow, we really deserved that goal after 2 balls on the line! i think 2-1 or 3-1 to sweden would be fair...anyway.... :D :D :D :D :D dont **** up with trinidad now paraguay! doesnt really matter, we haven't lost against england in 37 years in a competition so we wont this time eigher...

Not the best game ever, okay though. Sweden did create the better chances and it wasn't really unfair that they got the winning goal. Paraguay played a decent game, felt they didnt bring enough players to support their forwards thus not creating that many chances...harsh getting knocked out by an 89th minute goal though.

Zlatan was pure ****. In the first half, it looked as if he was playing in slow motion. Also he gave away a really, really good chance. That deserves benching, especially in such a tight game.

Let's be realistic here, Sweden was very close to going home today, the way they play is not great. Why bring Allback in and not Markus Rosenberg who had a fantastic season with my club, scores goals and is a technical great player. Allback can't score he proved that again today. Missed chance after chance :boohoo:
Lagerbaek better change his strategy or Sweden won't reach the quarterfinals like this. A good sub was Ellmander of course, after all he gave the pass what lead to the goal.
Paraguay was not bad at all tonight and especially when Barreto came on the pitch. Congrats to Sweden anyway but it wasn't fantastic, it was cutting it close....real close. Just like England lucky, very lucky..

Our team is better than Sweden that's for sure, third place in Fifa ranking says enough :p I'm happy for the Swedish of course but I'm kinda curious how you will play against the English. And I'm hoping that Rosenberg gets some playtime or what's the f*cking use selecting him :nape:

No offence, but I think that will be a very isolated opinion... the England match was boring... this match is much more interesting and not boring at all... Sweden playing very well and Paraguay not playing bad also...

Hey Ive got a right to my own opinion.

YESSSSSSSSSS!!! Finally Sweden's poor luck gets broken. :rockman: I was scared when it was 0-0 for so long, since Sweden is the 2nd team I support and I didn't wanna see them to go up against England having to must win.

I think Sweden has a good chance of beating England, like Sundsvall said, Sweden hasn't lost to England for a long time. And the English play like ****e, they can barely put 2 passes together, let alone creating anything.

GO SVERIGE :fool:

of course you are a better team i know :p well, i dont think we have more attackers actually :s anyway what i mean is that he hasnt played good in the national team, so when we have like 4-5 other attackers there's no need of him right now

Man, Swedish finishing was terrible! Do they have any strikers at all? The only good finish I can remember of was the goal from Ljungberg. The victory was not undeserved at all, though because:

1. Paraguay attack was not much better anyway... :kader:
2. There was a bad offside call vs Sweden that stopped one of their forwards from going 1v1 on Bobadilla (I really doubt he would score though :/)

The march was far below my expectations. At some point I hoped both teams lost their places to T&T, but that's not gonna happen, unless Sweden loses 3-0 against England...

...Ah, England, that won't happen too. BTW, Sweden - England will most likely be a terrible match if Equador draws Germany and get the 1st spot on group A. What a group this one :boohoo:
