the way they took this game, im actualy glad they lost and get their summer break early. I mean the Dutch were inviting us to score and we are just defending.

and about the lineup, wtf it was just so that players get their faces on tv, hoping that maybe some fools from western european countries transfer them, that way piturca makes some money, steaua some. **** the hopes of milions of ppl.

As long as we are coached by a guy who says that "steaua was the only golden team, and that the old generation of HAGI were notting" what more can you expect? Its just a ***ing show for steaua players.


And lets not forget daniel niculae, hes a ***ing old fart (altho he's in his mid 20's) he runs slower than my grandmother. Cant even make a pass.


Niculita - he just runs and thats about it, but hey its ok maybe he's gona get a transfer to a bigger club.

Dica - same as niculita hoping for a big transfer, same as his boss at steaua hoping to make more millions, as if some one would be stupid enoughf to pay them.



Why werent Cristea, S. Radu not introduced? poor ***ers should have played for steaua, they would have got a place in the starting 11.

The only one that actualy tried something was MUTU, still he cant be everywhere.

I m sad for Hagi's nation, i really am.
But i m also angry at them, because their mentality cannot be accepted.
Holland is a class team, but if Romans got elaminated but also be not beaten by the last 2 finalists of the world cup, they should really put the hats in front of them(or something like that) and ask themselves, how does that make sense?

Romania players failed to think big, during the game they failed to realize they have nothing else left to lose and everything was up to them, not Italy, not France. I dunno thats how we do it back home.

Not as entertaining as the last matches by Holland, and the team looked nervy for the first half hour, but yet again, they triumph. Thought Huntelaar played quite well, Afellay showed some strokes of brilliance, v. Persie, Robben, Kuyt, class as per usual, Engelaar and De Zeeuw a bit disappointing, but still better than anyone from the Romanian team, and the defence and Stekelenburg bth looked good.

Amazinbg how even the dtuch 2nd team is better than most first teams in this tournie, I mean, it wasn't an amazing match, but they still beat a team neither the reigning world champ and finalist couldn't beat.

Well done to Oranje, hope to see them lift the cup a week (right?) from now.

A. Cristea did not play, because he doesent play for steaua. As did many of the players from our league who were way better than dica,niculita,ghioanea.

After the match players were asked which team they preferred in the quarters Sweden or Russia and their answer was "we don't care who we play against we are here for one purpose only and that's to become champions"
That was the answer of eich player individually and that shows the thrive of the whole team. The teamspirit is "TOP" as Sneijder said tonight, they have fun and they work hard for eich other. Even the benchplayers cheer for the ones who are on the pitch and if they are subs well so be it it's in the good of the team and the Coach decides..

And do you really think that our team is afraid of Italy now??
We got the best offense and defense and we showed that in three games already. If need be we will beat them again but I don't think Italy will go any further than the quarters because they have to face a very strong Spain.
The players did their sportive duty and I'm proud of them, sure we could've eliminated France and Italy but why should we, the confidence is on a high and we are focussed on one target only THE CUP.

In fairness I really wanted Romania to go through with us but it wasn't to be, see you on another occasion guys

Good to see that Johnny was the captain he did fantastic in defense with Melchiot, Bouma and de Cler.

You're quick to forget that Piturca is the ONLY coach in the last 8 YEARS to qualify the Romanian national team to a tournament so shut your god damn trap and show some respect. I love how something bad happens and all of a sudden you decide to blame it on Steaua and their influence on Romanian football. What a pathetic puny mindset you have my friend. I know you fail to realize this however so I could care less if you reply to this message because I will simply ignore it.

We did not show up today. It was a shameful performance from everyone on the field except for Lobont who once again had some tremendous saves and Mutu who was the only one showing any sort of passion or emotion on the field for Romania.

We have a ways to go before we can compete with the creme de la creme of world football but what's important is that we are getting closer. I hope our players take the positives out of this tournament and not the negatives and move on quickly as WC qualifying is just around the corner. A huge problem that I see in our players at all levels is the lack of mental strength when it comes to these sort of moments. It's sad that it's the year 2008, 20 years removed from the end of communist regime and these players are still living their lives with a "Miorita" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mioriţa) mindset. We have to do a better job in our youth system to get these players to believe that they can achieve anything if they give it their best every single second that they are out on that pitch, currently we just don't have that and it's obvious that the Dutch and other nations do.

By the way, major kudos to the Dutch team for playing the way they did. I respect them for competing and I hope they go on to win the whole thing. They have an amazing squad.
