There is no way in hell they're the best team in africa. If it wasn't for the fact that most african players put club before ALWAYS then Nigeria and Cameroon would be here and they would of beaten Holland or Portugal its just that in africa money is more important than pride.

We won against Cameroon before the tournament in a friendly match and we would do it again and Nigeria not being at the WC well....too bad but that's life.

And..... Ivory Coast is the strongest African side on this tournament for sure!

Ivory Coast's midfield were far more impressive than the Dutch attack imo. They created chances all game long and are the ones that have played one of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful football in this FIFA World Cup.

van Persie should've been man of the match not Robben, first he turned things around with scoring that beautiful freekick and he stopped a ball on the line what would've been a sure fire goal!

Personally, I like Holland's chances if theyre as clinical as they were today. Nobody can stop that trio up front when theyre on their game

Overall IC played better than Holland, and had a ball hitting the bar, and a penalty not called... their midfield was stronger than Holland's, that's a fact! The possession was not conceeded.... it was taken away from Holland...

Good play of the Netherlands in most of the first half, but Ivory Coast shown to be an excellent rival and didn't make things easy for them, but they shouldn't be ashamed for leaving early they shown why some consider them the best african side. Which i think may be true.

personally, i think you guys are too hard on Robben. no, he didnt deserve MOM, but he didnt frigging dive. he got hit from both sides in the box, and allowed them to put him on the ground,which is what any good striker will do if theyve lost their shot at the ball. i would say the real bitch of the night would be the ref....for his carding of robben and drogba. both were complete crap.

It's a pity Ivory Coast found itself in a group with Argentina and Holland.

IC is the strongest African team in the tournament, far stronger than Ghana which is dominating the game against the Czech's right now.

I mean Ivory Coast eliminated Cameroon and Egypt (African Cup Champions) in the world cup qualifications.

Holland played a great game though.
