Best thing could happen to a CB like Stones is to work with Pep, he will improve a lot and feel confortable under his phylosophy because he is a CB that builds from the back, amticipates and stuff. He suffers defending inside the box.

I agree, he's not a Terry type of defender, he needs to be part of the buildup. Very similar to Boateng, although Boateng is outstanding at everything except chasing down balls over his head.

When Pep first arrived to Bayern, Boatwng had great qualities but 0 knowledge of the game.

I read the book too.

Stones is similar, but also has never played in a good team. He was always at Everton where they had to desperately defend. Now he doesn't have to make 20 blocks per game to be considered good, he can concentrate on what he does best.

So does Pep have the best players then or not? Sounds like bad money management and an average player, not Pep securing the best squad in the league.

Pep is going to turn that kid into the next Boateng by the end of the season, I guarantee it. He won't stagnate under Pep as long as he commits and works hard. Pep is the best teacher in football bar none.

Didn't say its a bad signing. It is a huge sum for someone who has not proven himself yet. If he continues as he has despite dip in form last season, he could become as good as Ferdinand, therefore it could pay off. This is kind of like the Martial. Could be hit or miss. You can't compare this transfer to an established star.

Good partnership with Otamendi on the paper, the Argentinian is a great anticipator and puts his team in the opponent field.

I heard that, so I picked him in Fantasy, but then I got scared that Pep will realize he's wrong so I replaced him. Clichy is just not that fucking good, and playing him on the right? I trust that he'll be effective, because Pep is smart, but I don't know if it'll be great.

I think Pep is going to use Delph a lot.

Didn't watch, but he needs an own goal to win against Moyesy. Masterclass.

EDIT: and the other goal is a penalty!
Anyway a win is a win though.

Tactical stuff: Fernandinho drop between Kolarov-Stones and fullbacks Clichy-Sagna center their position. That gives space to wingers to find 1on1 and allow the team to defend the counters better

I had it on in the background whilst having sex because I thought guardiola football would be an aphrodisiac but in fact it had the opposite effect and I needed Moyes close ups to get me over the line.

I preferred last year's city

Tactical stuff: We are going to beat Moyes with a penalty and an own goal.
