Don't get too excited, TLC is not another expansion pack like the upcoming Aftermath. Rather, Valve are pushing the Source engine to the limit, and offering the player to walk around on an Island in the HL2 universe, a completely seamless world, with little story to it. This game will be about showcasing what really can be achieved with the Source engine.
Your guide for this tour of the Island is a man called 'The Fisherman'.The graphics are something else. Gordon stumbles from a door, his eyes adjusting from the cool darkness to the harsh light. It's amazing
The minimum requirements are a 3.2Ghz processor, high end graphics card, and 1Gb of Ram. Simply put, its what we can expect to be the standard in a couple of years. It isn't about how a gamer can run the game, it's about as far as we can go. Every lamp shade is bump mapped, and Valve say we'll be seeing a lot more.
So, anyone tried this one yet? Released today.
HDR is just stunning. I was just cheking the pics and thought, oh well, this is gonna be just another good effect. But its actualy sooo much better when you this in action. Just run steam and get it, and better do that fast!!
