I've actually warmed up to cakes, I used to not be such a big fan but I've had a few where instead of the bland cheap whipcream its got a nicely textured frosting.

I subscribe to the Adam Carolla philosophy and would just prefer a birthday pie. This year I got Angel Food though which I think is the best cake. All other cake is just made out of the same stuff as all the crappy donuts that are always left in the box last.

Haha, I listen to Corolla too and I agree with his birthday pie theory. At work we always chip in for cake when its someone's birthday so I proposed the pie idea and it got badly rejected, as if it was laughable.

It's totally true though! If you bought both, and set a store bought generic apple pie down on the table next to a store bought generic chocolate cake which would go first? I honestly don't think anybody would eat cake at all until the pie was gone.
