Hardest Road to the Final?

Its obvious that Italy has the easiest road to the final as far as opponents is concern, they only need to beat Australia and Switzerland/Ucraine to reach the semifinal after that they could fase Germany or Argentina which is very doable.

IMO Holland has the Hardest Road because they need to beat Portugal first then they could face England to reach the semis and then they'll probably meet Brasil and If somehow beat them they'll have to face Italy or Argentina in the final.

So to me its impossible for Holland to win the Cup. In your opinion which team has the lowest possibility to reach the final beside Ghana?

from your logic, wouldn't Portugal have the Hardest Road, Since they have to beat Holland first.

IMO its harder for Holland to beat Portugal than it is for Portugal to beat Holland

Why? Because Italy always f*ck up against teams they should win, it will lead to their demise. If they were in Hollands postion, I would put my house on them to win everygame.

They always destroy world class opponents and suffer against teams they should beat 99 times out of 100.

frankly most teams in the last 16 have a hard route to the final as at some point theyre gonna have to play a big team to be honest the only exception to this is brasil who have to play ghana which should reallly be a walk in the park for them

i agree. it will be no surprise if they lose to switzerland (or ukraine).

Well, we had a tough group, so maybe this makes it even.

Id rather face Holland, Mexico, Portugal, Sweden, Germany, Ecuador or France than Australia in the next round.

the US was supposed to be our 'easy' game in the group, and they gave us the most problems. In the week before the World Cup, we played both the Swiss and Ukraine... and had two very unimpressive draws. In 2006, we beat Holland 3-1 and Germany 4-1 and impressed a lot in both. Italy plays to the level of their opponents, look at what happened at Euro 2004 in supposedly the easiest group. I'll admit, if we can beat the Aussies, the Swiss-Ukraine draw is kinda favourable..... but Australia has been really impressive so far, and completely outplayed a Croatia side who had advanced would have said was a much harder draw for Italy..... Plus we always have to start every game with a man down (because Totti is playing ;) :( )

I would like to point out that Brasil has had the most diverse road to the World Cup and will do so until the finaly. Brasil have beaten an european, an asian, and an oceanian team, and they now will beat an African team...so naturally Brasil has had the truest path to the Title :)
