WHen You are playing fifa. Go back to the desktop my doing the alt-tab, and then look at the processes with Control-alt-delete.
Does anyone else see a strange temp file that if the process is ended it makes fifa exit to desktop. I did some tweaking last night with a linux editor and I got the game to not run that file somehow and I was able to play. But upon restarting my computer in XP it was back and so was the crashes.
Does the monitor have anything to do with it. I use an lcd, a fast one, but still not quite a crt... just a thought.

One possible solution, although it doesnt work all of the time, is to uninstall your graphics card software and restart your computer, reinstall it, and then restart it again. It usually will let you play for a few hours after than before crashing back to the desktop quitely.

I guess you know that you can get it to work if you use the skip FE cheat:
SKIP_FE = 1
It runs so normal, this means the problem is mainly with that part. But of course, you cannot play with this cheat always as it allows you to play a friendly game like the demo with no control over anything except few.
Is there anyway to make the game start with this cheat then we disable it??? I naiively tried to just edit the soccer.ini and remove the cheat while playing but of course it didn't work.
Any ideas from the experts here????

i was also having the same problem. whenever i ran the game the screen just turned black for few seconds and back to windows
but now i have the solution
i use a no-cd patch from www.megagames.com and deleted the video.abg file from data/feart/video folder and now the game hasnt crashed even once
