Have you ever snubbed a movie on principle?

With many movies falling victim to "the sequel disease" I wondered if, like myself you've ever snubbed a sequel/movie just on the principle that it should never have been made.

For example, I will not watch Terminator 3, simply because I think it will be detrimental to Terminator and Terminator 2 (which were so well tied together and told a complete story with a resolved ending)

Yes, I do.

Usually, the first ones are the best. When someone made a good film and it brings huge profit, it's normal that he will want to continue through making continuation of the previous one. Unfortunately the continuations are mostly disappointing, they destroy impression after first movie. Here's my list of disappointing continuations:

- Hannibal, The Red Dragon, Hannibal Rising ( the last one is just ridiculous)
- Omen II, III, IV
- Terminator 3
- Rocky III and so on
- Rambo II ...

I can't remind anything more at the moment

I've snubbed movies on the basis of them being based on a dumb idea. A lot of people go to see movies that're hyped but if the idea and plot behind it sounds dumb, chances are that it probably is.

If we're going by this theory then the list could be scary long. I'm gonna stick to the one mentioned in the opening post in which case, no I can't say that I have.

Being a snob I often snub movies because "no movie could possibly live up to the novel".

Mind you, people say it's enjoyable to read, but what if the acting in your head is ****e?

Sir_Didier_Drogba, that's such a brilliant quote, if you ever get famous use that one.

"People say movies are never as good as the books, but what happens if, when you're reading, the acting in your head is utter ****e" (H)

King, The Matrix is by a long long long way better than Reloaded and Revolutions. I had the displeasure of seeing both in the cinema...

Those are all sweet movies that yer holding yerself back from, bro.

I realize that he's not the most selective, expansive or versatile of actors, but he's had some decent-to-awesome roles in his career.

I don't think that he deserves to be deliberately avoided and shunned off.

I saw both in cinema, twice, and have seen them as many times again since I bought the Matrix box set.

The Matrix Reloaded was the only movie that made me leave cinema. So there were no chances I would watch the third part.

I guess I can say that Revoltuions was all good until the ending. Maybe if they cut the ending then all would be fine with me. I have actually completely erased the ending from my memory, seriously, I can't recall how it ends :(
