Headers Fifa 12....

Headers in Fifa 12 am I missing something???? Cannot seem to win any my players either miss or fall over... occasionally I'll win one but its really low powered.

Played every version of Fifa so whats changed??? Running PC version btw used to be a case of press and hold button....

Yeah, have the same issue on PS3 version. I'm not sure what exactly am supposed to be doing to win them (button timing, holding it down, tapping, etc.)? Occasionally I will win a few, but it's never consistant.

Joe... I have messed around the with the player marking slider bar in options and seems to have improved things.

I haven't modified slider bars and i no prob with headers.
It's different from older version of fifa. Pushing B to let your player position himself and make a good header is off! You must before "shooting" try to position your player in order to intercept the ball and win the aerial challenge.
My virtul pro is a 1m78 and scored 3 headers in 12 games. it's realistic

Yeah think your right its a new system of heading. So I'm guessing move analogue stick to postion player then press button instead of just press and hold?

Yeah, I pretty much had the same issue. For many years I've been playing PES and there was this auto-move enabled during battle for aerial ball, where You can't basically do nothing than push forward (to push your opponent away) and just wait for the ball. In Fifa 12 You control the player all the time, even when the ball is in the air. Maybe option in controller setting about auto-move on air balls (auto, semi and manual) change something, I play on semi, and in fact after a few games I still struggled a little, but I've managed to shot few goals after corners. Like everything in this game (even new defending) just need time to adjust, like they say "practice makes perfect".

Yup, I'm getting more header goals now. Not perfect (like real life) but much better than before.

On XBox, it helps to hold down the LT button as you jostle for position. Beyond that, timing I think.
