help do i need broadband to play online

Hi guys i know this is a daft question but do i need broadband to play online... My mate has broadband and i only have dial up, he hosted a game tonight and it was all going so well until we started playing... The intro etc was a smooth as a babys bum, but as soon as we started the match it was pants... I had no control at all and the players were slow and jerky and the ball had a mind of its own.... Help!!!

You need broadband. It needs a 1.5mbps connection (atleast i think that's what it is). Either way, dial-up is not nearly enough, so no chance i'm afraid.
