Help modifying half length

Hey everyone, just discovered this amazing site.

A quick question, is it possible to increase the half length to 45 minutes? In fifa 07 i think it was possible through a HALF_SECOND command in a created user.ini file. I can't get that to work in FIFA 08.

It still works - the command is HALF_SECONDS = 2700 in the user.ini file

Yeah but where do you put the user.ini file? Is it in the program files/ea sports/fifa08 directory, or program files/ea sports/fifa08/data, or my documents/fifa 08? Or is there one already created?

If there is a version in the 'FIFA 08' directory under the Program Files structure then that will be read, and if not then the game attempts to read it from the 'FIFA 08' folder in your My Documents. I always place my USER.INI in My Documents so that it only affects my game and not my son's but either will work.

Only 45min halves i would imagine since i did the same it seems to overide all the other half options.

Not from within the game, but there is nothing to stop you closing the game, adjusting the value in the INI file and then restarting the game with that different half length (or indeed turning the line into a comment by adding // before the parameter name, and then using the in game half length selection)

I might be inclined to add a space after the two slashes, but I believe they serve the purpose without it, so yes. Alternatively simply delete the line, but then you need to remember what it was when you come to want to put it back
