Help, My Controller and the SHIFT

Hello People.

I have been playing Euro 2004 Online (PC) for a while now. I play it with my controller, and not keyboard.
I am unable to swerve my freekicks. In the manual it says to hold down SHIFT and then user arrows to position the area on ball which you want to hit in order to create a swerve. Well it doesn't work for me.

I have gone in to the button remap configuration and there is nothing for SHIFT, not even in the keyboard configuration!

Can someone out there please help me i just want to be able to swerve my free kicks with my controller. I know there is some of you out there that use controllers and swerve them.

There obviuosly isnt any shift on the controller, u need to use the analong stick, and if you don't have an analog stick, use the selct button.
