Help! No controller input possible in practice mode

I can't get any of my controllers to work in practice mode, and no keyboard input is possible either. Is there a fix for this bug?

I got the official patch on Thursday, and I re-installed it yesterday onto a completely clean install (just to make sure there wasn't some sort of data corruption).

This issue is happening AFTER the patch (which was supposed to fix it). I had no control pre-patch, and I have the same lack of control after installing the patch. For me, the patch has created some other weirdness too. After installing the patch I had to re-map all my controller buttons, since some were completely unresponsive (I couldn't get my players to sprint, whatever button I pressed) and some had moved to other buttons. Maybe the patch successfully addressed multiplayer issues, but so far, as far as the single player game is concerned, the official patch is more buggy than the original game was.

yup..in practice for me as well it selects the joystick...cant use the keyboard and the prob with my sidewinder joystick is that the skill moves button isnt assigned!! any solution??

I have this problemo too, I play on a Microsoftsidewinder(spelled wrong) and my brother uses Keyboard, when he wants to play Practice he just turn the Gamepad OFF BEFORE he enters FIFA, so that the game won't recognize the gamepad. I hope that helps.
