Help on a list of players

hey, i am writing a newspaper for my hs about david beckham and how i beleive he is overrated. Can you guys help me out and list ten people that are better midfielders then he is. I named a few names but they think I am bias and if i showed them this forum it would prove to them that he is not the best in the world. You must understand they do not follow soccer too close and i believe the only reason they think he is soo good is because of his popularity.

This is not supposed to be a thread bashing Beckham because he is impressing me with real madrid not just with his crosses but how he has possessed the ball more in the middle of the field (first half of Monaco in the champions league for example). The purpose is to create a 10 player list of midfielders who are more well rounded and better soccer players at the moment.

Totti Zidane Nedved Ballack Vieira alone are 5 players better than Beckham....although these 5 are the best midfielders in the world or close to it they are still better than Beckham...Beckham is good IMO but regardless of him being over or under rated im just listing players that are better than becks

i think there are about 5-6 midfielders in the world clearly better than beckham. the rest...they're comparable, on the same par, or just a matter of bias or judgement or taste.

In my opinion Beckham isnt overated, he is good but not a extremely good, I know many people will say Im crazy but I also think the same thing about Giggs Also there are a lot of players no one mentioned here who are comparable with Becks but only that they play in smaller teams and are less known

Interesting that NO ONE mentioned Paul Scholes, while most of you said Kewell and Ronaldinho and someone mentioned Ricardo Quresma?

I don't know, Beckham is looking pretty damn good in Spain. His long balls are magic, and Ballack or any of these other guys can't place a ball like he can. And why the hell is Paul Scholes left off most peoples list?

Point is, Beckham might get a lot of attention, but he is good at what he does. It all comes down to trophies in the end, and Beckham has won quite a few with his old mates.
