Anti racism campaign officially unveiled today by Thierry Henry and Rio Ferdinand along with R.Carlos, Ronaldinho, Adriano etc.
As the pics suggest, the campaign is called STAND UP, SPEAK UP.
Proceeds from the wristbands will go towards research into the issue of racism in football and to anti-racism campaigns and projects in different countries.
From the 5th of Feb, their will be t.v adverts to raise awareness of the campaign!

HAHA that pic of Rio and Henry together. Thats cool though.... cause racism is a lot more than football will ever be......

There really are ton of these bands out, I wear a green, white, and black one for the children killed in Chechnya.

Wear it to support the cause not fashion.

Looks like nike has added its logo to the back of the band, Unlike the livestrong bands.

Tme to get some publicity says nike.

fashion its what makes most of the people buy those wristbands.

i supported the livestrong cause by paying my dolla for the wristband, not by wearing it.
i wear it sometimes, but for fashion (H)
the one i wear all the time its a red one that says "friends of the kid with cancer". a venezuelan foundation that took advantage of the momentum that these wristbands have and started to raise money for those poor little fellas.
with that money they are staring construcion on a help center for those kids and their families right here where i live :)
i wear this one all the time because the red seems to go more with other colors than yellow :crazyboy:

Those wristbands are really becoming a gimmick, just like Pokemon a few years ago. The idea behind the Lance Armstrong wristband was excellent but now we have to put up with all these spin offs. Anti this, anti that. C'mon!

Dont know if its been posted, so ill post it in here. A DVD set came out in England "Pride of the Nation", released by the FA, which was about the best english players after WW2. And there was not 1 black player on the DVD.
Now they've pulled it out of sales, and are adding black players...
