as I cant attach it to my post, I'll have to copy and paste it in. Enjoy:

My Very Own Tut

Step One) First off, we need to get you a template, and as I'm sure you know how to to do it, I'll just type it up here. Go to File>New and you want the size 800x800 pixels, and select the contents to 'Transparent'.

Step Two) Now, click on the 'Gradient Tool' then press 'D' on your keyboard, to return the colours to default. Now, with the 'Gradient Tool', make a line going vertically up. So you should have white on the top and black on the bottom. Try to make sure that the line where it changes from one to the other is in the middle.

Step Three) Now to use a couple of filters. Go to Filter>Distort>Wave. Leave everything set to its default, except change the 'Type' to Square. Then click 'OK'.

Step Four) For the next filter, go to Filter>Distort>Polar Coordinates, and make sure that you have the 'Rectangular to Polar' selected in the little 'Options' section and then click 'OK'. Now it should have a black background with a white circle (not a perfect circle, but a circular shape) in the middle.

Step Five) Now, go to the 'Layer' tab at the top of the screen, and click 'Duplicate Layer'. A box with settings will come up, but just leave them at default, and click 'OK'.

Step Six) Make sure that your duplicated layer is selected (it should be called 'Layer 1 copy' in your layers box), and change the blend mode to 'Difference'. To do this, look in your 'Layers' box and near the top, it should say 'Normal' in a drop down box. Click the little arrow next to it, to make the drop down box, drop. Then click on 'Difference', and the whole thing should go black.

Step Seven) Select the 'Move Tool', move that duplicated layer anywhere you wish, until you get it how you want. Now, keep on duplicating the layers you have just used and keep moving them about, thus filling up the 800x800 template with crazy lines and shapes.

Step Eight) Now, it might look a little dodgey, but, go to Image>Adjust>Hue/Saturation. Click colorize, which is just above the 'Preview' check-box in the bottom right corner. Then move the 'Hue' bar until you get the colour you want. Then click 'OK'.

Step Nine) Now, select the 'Dodge Tool', and go over the bits you want lightened, to give it that 'crystalized' look and to add more depth.

Step Ten) Finally, make a new template at what ever size it is that you usually make banners with, then put a box around the bit you think looks best on the 800x800 background we have just gone through, and paste it into the new smaller sized template you just made. And you're done!

Im glad you liked the tut. Did you find it ok? Or could it have been improved?

And shinji, you can never have too many tuts. I think there should be more here too. :)

As we're on the topic, does anybody know any sites with some good Flash MX tuts? I looked on Shinji's site yesterday (very cool site by the way), and I found a couple of Flash MX site links. But I found them quite hard to follow. :(

Very nice Tutorial, dude!!
anyway Devian Arts is very hard, I don't understand the site, I don't see any tutorials, I can't download actions, anything... I hate it...

I have other pages for Photoshop tutorials and that kind of things.

See ya!

Flashkit.com is probably the best Flash resource on the net. They have lots of info and tutorials, but I gotta tell ya, there's not really any easy tut's for Flash, exept maybe the really basic stuff like moving one thing from one side of the screen to the other..
