When Red Bull (energy drinks) bought Austria Salzburg, Austria's supporterrs horror begins:
- Red bull changed club colours
- Red Bull changed historical name SV Austria Salzburg to Red Bull Salzburg
- Red Bull changed club's found date to 2005 (orginally 1933)
- Red Bull blocked supporters with old club colours, ULTRAS Group wont be in matches

Austria Salzburg supporters are asking for solidarity with them, because this situation can touch another club in Europe. In September 2005 supporters make action in Europe. In transparents of another clubs in Europe, supporters may denonuce Red Bull's decisions.

With hope to assistance,
SV Austria Salzburg Supporters.

Translated from Polish by me, sorry for mistakes...

For me this situation is hopeless. This brand's destroying football and supporters of this club.

Sounds like a damn travesty. Corporations must be pretty ballsy to believe they can just redress a clubs whole status, even if the club is relatively small or young or whatever. Anyway, red bull tastes like carbonated horsepiss and sugar, and if it wasnt for Jaegermeister and kids on E, they would go belly up

Suddenly the Glazer situation doesn't seem so bad!

Thats rough. Though I suppose if they own the club they can pretty much do anything they want. The first time it's been a corporation taking over a club in my memory. (I know J and K league teams are corporate owned)

Are you sure about this, Emte? I'm sure Red Bull didn't buy an Austrian club with expectations of a great revenue in years to come; publicity and more precisely a way to penetrate the Austrian market seem the reasons for this take over. Now I don't know Red Bull's idea of good publicity but...

So... Big brands makes publicity not for fanatics of given club but for buisnessmans and "big fishes" who pays more than normal supporter... Big brands knows that club as Legia, Austria Salzburg etc. don't be good in euorpean cups, so allures buissnesmans to invest in this club. Like as that is in Legia but in less stair... ITI Group (Legia's owner) makes big advertisements in sports press to sales book of tickets. In match with Bayer in one sector have been only buissnessmans from Warsaw not real Legia supporters. Now ITI want make sanctions to 500 supporters who got to closed Legia friendly match with Dolcan Zabki. This is shock for me, what Legia direction is doing with supporters...
