Manchester won't suffer that much. Bayern Munich don't have big stars, except for maybe Kahn, Ballack and Ze Roberto, but we are still Champions League contenders (last season was accidental). It's not over for Man Utd. I still believe that they will retain the premiership title this year and go very far in the Champions League.

Beckham is overated, but I do think they should buy a star. Young players can be groomed though, just like the class of 92.

Part of the reason Beckham was sold was that he didn't fit into the way Ferguson wants Man U to play next season. Rumours are that Man Utd will be playing a 4-2-3-1 formation next season with 2 defensive midfielders, ie Keane and Djemba-Djemba or Butt or Neville and 3 attacking midfielders, ie Giggs, Scholes and hopefully Ronaldinho supporting one striker, obviously Ruud. Beckham wouldn't be suited to the defensive midfield role as his tackling isn't very good and he's not really very imposing, and he's not really skillful enough on the ball to play in a free attacking role like the three aformentioned players.

Beckham was my favourite Man Utd player, and i am sorry to see him go, but i wish him nothing but the best of luck at Madrid, and have to admit that the boy i watched 7 or 8 years ago score against Galatasaray has come so far and playing for Madrid will take him further than he could have gone at Man Utd.

I am however, slightly worried about the transfer market, as Man Utd are famous for missing out on players over the years, and Ronaldinho's move is STILL on a knife edge, and now Kewell has already moved to Liverpool. If we don't get those players, Ferguson will have to pay way over the odds for someone else to make sure he has at least one new star at the start of the season.

Doesn't mean he meant it. Obviously if he said he wanted to play for Man Utd while playing for Arsenal he would have 40,000 fans at Highbury booing him off the pitch.

Go support Real Madrid CF then.

Move on, we'll be a bigger and better team without Beckham, Beckham barely played a part in our success against the big clubs last season, with Solskjaer on the wing too.

We'll be a better team this year without Beckham.

I was upset about it after I stressed my anger when United accepted Barca's offer, when you look at it, it was a good deal.

Move on!.

well your not better without him.....dont go over board....if you can get another world class player than United will probably be better off without him....its not like he sucked....or he wouldnt of been a Manchester United STARTER like he was all this time.....im sure you see my point....but United have the money to sign some great players and i think they are.....i read Fergie is going after Joaquin which i would love for him to play for Roma but if they (United) are into him they will have a good chance of getting him....he could be that player
