Seriously, WTF? It's almost 2004..err...2005! This really hasn't registered with me yet and won't for the next month or so. I'm the type that you'll find still writing the previous day's, month's, or year's date into school or other formal papers' headings. I'm just that absent-minded about time, man. I hate dwelling on time too much, you know? It's either going too fast and I don't have enough of it or it's going terribly too slow and there's too much of it. The summer went by stupefyingly too fast, fall arrived too early and now we're just some measely hrs away from '05.....this is just ******* insane and deathly terrifying for me. I always become panic stricken around this time of the year knowing full well that I've flushed another precious 12months down the toilet. Guilty, guilty of a wasted life, man. ****, I recall back when I was in my early teens and my grandmother from my mother's side would harangue me about my immaturity and how I rarely ever put my time to good use. She'd always exaggerate everything, of course, like most fogeys and say stuff like "Son, you're not that far from being 20 (I was 14 at the time) and you've gotta straighten up and become more independent of your parents and take on more meaningful responsibilities." I'm a year removed from being that, 20, and it really sucks to know that I haven't evolved much from that 14yr old punk-kid roughly 5yrs ago. Quarterlife crisis? Sheesh.....aging definitely sucks, man. I don't care at what stage in your life you come to recognize it. A Godawful reality, man. There use to be a time (a couple of years back, I suppose) when 18 was old from my viewpoint. I get so weirded out to see all the new youth team players in soccer that are on most clubs now......1986, 1987, 1988....:o :o Holy **** *jaw hitting the floor sound*....they're all younger than me.....sheesh.


Apologies to the masses for this good-for-nothing whine-piece. I just had to let it out somewhere, and unfortunately SG was the nearest place to do so at this time.

Anyway, time to get back to getting some sleep for later tonight . Happy New Year's to all. Hope you all have a wonderful New Year's.

Boy am I glad that I didn't jump off the deep end last night and drink myself blind. Two beers, two beers and a glass of Champagne and that was it. It wasn't a pretty sight at my brother's. They ******* went all out and binged like crazy. He had to stay up all night watching over eight drunkards who'd crashed at his place......he didn't want people choking to death on their on vomit, man. This one dude almost died last year that way.....that same dude was the binge leader this year also.......these ****ers never learn, man.
