i play alot as liverpool, and every single game is at anfield, even when i specify liverpool as the away team. is there something i've missed or need to change to play at other venues?

Are you talking for Exhibition Games? Press the shoulder buttons on your controller, and you can choose the stadium.

When you are choosing teams, depending on your controller config, it could be L1 and R1 or L2 and R2. But it will scroll to stadium selection. You can choose the stadium, weather, day or night, etc.
