Hooligna Research

I am doing an 8-10 page essay on soccer hooligans and the controversies concerning them and was wondering if anyone on the forums had any good websites to look at or actual books to read. It would really help me out tremendously. Thanks in advance to anyone that helps.

Wikipedia might throw up some good suggestions for reading material. All I can really think about noticable events are the likes of Heysel, Hillsborough and that season when visiting fans were banned from Tyne-Wear derbies.

Yeah, Your thesis statement should read as this......."Hooliganism would legitimize the the MLS significantly in the minds of millions across the world who follow the sport with much interest.

I think it's about time that us North Americaners breed our own line of fine dirty, destructive, and demented Hooligans.............

Hillsborough was down to the inept policing of the game and over crowding. Added to that the fences that caged the fans in had a lot to do with the final death toll. Hooligans had nothing to do with this incident. Just thought i'd mention it.

hurhurhur......yeah, that stuck with me, man. It stopped me dead on my tracks as I was going through that UCL thread. It's just so simple yet powerfully hilarious (atleast to me),you know? I now go around imitating it in different voices with different names in my daily life in random settings atleast once or twice a day.

I wish that I could tell our boy Neovico how much I've fallen in-love with him and that phrase, but he's hardly ever around here.......pretty strange how forums can be scattered and dislocated, eh? You can literally go months, sometimes years without ever coming into contact with some members who are equally as active as you are if not more.
