I think we need some MLS chants. Like on goal kicks the "Yoooouuu........(kick) YOU SUCK!!" when the away team has a goal kick...
And the Revolution have "Supa Revolution".... and other assorted stuff.

PS. Don't go all batsh*t. I want good gameplay, too :-D.

LOL. The words MLS and CHANTS shouldnt be used in the same sentence. Im watching an MLS game as i'm typing this and there is no chanting going on, which is one reason why i dont like the MLS. The only reason im watching is cuz there's no other football/soccer aired here in the US (no, i dont have a dish).

The MLS have stupid chants. I was watching a little bit of the Chicago Fire playing, and all the crowd kept yelling was, "FIRE!". It was really lame. Wow . . . I love the enthusiasm and originality those fans posses.

In the U.s they aren't any chants for any sports. Just real loud music and some keyboard making you say "Defense tin tin Defense tin tin". Most of the chants are insults and very repeatitve.

Gringos will be in awe if they ever attend a boca- river plate match. Amrican sports consiste more of sitting in your fat ass and buying hot dogs.

Great, I have to defend American sports...

MLS fans may be crappy and unpassionate (probably due to lack of talent on the pitch) but to call American sports fans unpassionate is ridiculolous. I mean, have you been to a college football game? People are crazy. There's chanting (not like soccer, but it's there) people never sit, they paint themselves, they CARE. Or pro sports. If I was in the Bronx of NYC and said the Yankees suck to some random stranger, I'd probably be jumped by him and 10 other New Yorkers. So don't stereotype American sports fans by MLS fans. That would be like me stereotyping European sports fans by NFL Europe fans...

the only reason it seems there is not much noise is because there is not as much people as in european matches.. it will get there... so you guys need to back off the mls.. or you guys think that the epl, the lfp and the spanish superleague were as good as today when they got started... stop bashing american soccer just because is from the usa.. and they are not supposed to play well.. but they are getting much better than anyone wants to give them credit for

...hahaha ....mls

You know, the real question is, "Is American Football Quality actually improving?" Now lets not kid ourselves with bias ranking systems from fifa.com and I quote Roma manager Fabio Capello

"It is not credible," he said. "The true pointer of the values of the national sides is the World Cup. There you understand who is the strongest. We take Mexico, in the classifications they are fifth but with all the respect I cannot believe that they play a soccer better than England, Italy, Turkey, Germany and Argentina. Italy, for example, are only found at 14th place, but compared to the other teams, they play less."

So yes the United States did perform very well in the World Cup, 12 MLS players led the United States to its best showing in 72 years....But last years tournament was also dubbed as probably the most dissapointing World Cup in many years.

The United States, with their starting best squad did not win the Gold Cup this year..coming in thrid losing to pretty much a Brasil u21 team.

As I recall, the United States won the Gold Cup in 2002, against Costa Rica. I don't see improvement from 2002 to 2003....as far as I see, so far it has been a down slope.

Look at the way the MLS League is run for crying out loud. It's a mess..

-the players association was partially supported by the NFL Players association in 2000.
-Bankrupsy of teams, like Tampa Bay
-Profit Margin in the league is as small as a finger nail clipping.

I mean, All leagues in the world are losing money. But there is a difference...there is interest everywhere else. MLS has little or no interest. In fact, it is stated that if the L.A. Galaxy (who hold the championship) do not make money this year, the the league is going to go in a rapid downward spiral towards further financial crisis.

The league needs to be more attractive to the big markets, then the small markets like the Columbus Crew. If they do not succeed in L.A. then they are screwed.

Nevertheless, the quality is slowly improving as the MLS.

This year, MLS welcomes its first French player, Colorado midfielder Gilles Grimandi, who came from Arsenal in the English Premier League. South Korean World Cup hero Hong Myung Bo joins the Galaxy. Longtime U.S. national team forward Earnie Stewart signed with D.C. United after 14 seasons in the Netherlands. Joe-Max Moore is back in New England after three seasons with England's Everton.

Wonderful, there's a positive attitude...like 4 new players. If it wasn't for that cursed money, the MLS potentially can have a great league....but in reality, if they see no cash $$$, then the MLS will not improve as quckly as so many MLS fans think.

Oooooooh - Venezuela! Where are you ranked in the world? Oh yeah, 58th!!!!!! Real world soccer/football power you got there. Just think of all those famous Venezuelan leagues teams that roll off the tongue! Do y'all even have a league? The MLS might be crap but at least people have heard of it. If my nation was 58th in the world I'd keep my mouth shut. What next? Grief for the USA from Mongolia?

of course the us is improving.. and the league is getting better and is gonna expand.. teams are building their own soccer only stadiums instead of playing on the nfl stadiums.. so yes they had a setback with the tampa bankrupty but attendance is on the rise.. so things are looking good.. and there are more talented kids coming thru the youth systems..
