How do you get back into the party mode?

O-car

Starting XI
So it´s been about a month since I came back home after staying in the U.S. for 9 months. Over there, living in the dorms, the party mode stayed on about 24/7, of course with a few exceptions, but most of the time I was always ready to go. I like to party, I like meeting new people and have fun.

However, since I´ve been back home, I´ve found myself to be less and less ready to roll during the time I have off from work, deep down I want to go party, but for some reason I just don´t switch on. I don´t know if it´s the transition of being back home, if that thing that happened with that girl back in the states as I was about to leave is still on my mind, or if I´m just turning 50 overnight. Whatever it is, I want it to change.

So I ask you, have you ever gone through this phase, and how did you deal with it? How do you get yourselves back into the right gear?

whoever manages to successfully help me out gets a cookie :borat:

i`m sorta in that phase now. i was living abroad for a while and having a great time but i came back to the boring town that i`m originally from. not that it`s a bad place, i just feel like i maxed out whatever i`m going to accomplish here. excitement went downhill after i came back, partly my own fault because i feel i cant really get that much out of this place so i sorta choose not to go out and find it. luckily, im leaving for amsterdam on the 22nd so im looking forward to getting back in the swing of things...meeting new people and ogling hot dutch girls. god bless the european passport.

my advice is...i really don`t know :(

Well, for Dimo, if you really feel that way then you should move out of your town.

O-car, my man, the best thing you can do is to start hanging out with people you know who live the lifestyle that you enjoy. Even if you only know one guy who parties a lot, you need to talk to him before next weekend to see what he's doing next weekend so you can tag along. Just get with ONE person who is in the swing of things, even if you don't like that person. You can go out with him/her and meet new, cooler people that you enjoy spending time with, but you should initially go out with any acquaintance you have that parties.

If you don't know a single person like that, it's much trickier, but not impossible. Convince one of your boring friends, or a group of boring friends, to go out to a club with you. They can be dressed like 9th Degree Dungeon Masters or whatever as long as they get in the club, because it doesn't matter, you're gonna ditch them in the club. Then you go around meeting people all night. Have no expectations, and frankly, if you hit it off with a cool guy it's much better than hitting it off with a hot chick, because the guy gives you an in to a party scene. A hot chick might **** you (awesome), but you might be back at square 1 after the one night stand.

Basically, you need better friends. I got home at 5:30 AM today after winging my friend to a potential relationship, and making out with a girl in a long distance relationship. I'm such a prick, haha. At one point last night I was wearing a lime green feather boa, designer sunglasses, and one of those douchy kind of tight designer vintage t-shirts. But come on, I was karaoking a Kanye song!

Thanks Shifty, I can always count on you huh? hehe.
hangout groups definitely are slim pickings over here, I´ve got a couple of friends who enjoy going out, but I see them like only every other weekend because of work and one of their school days.

i suppose living about 10km away from the next bar and therefore having to take a cab back is a bad factor as well :S

I hope things start looking up soon, the next time i can go partying is in a couple of weeks, so i´ve got that time to get myself pumped up

Bullsh!t. You made a fake account on SG as his girlfriend, thereby expressing a subconscious, homo-erotic desire to get penetrated by Shifty's All American cock.

Excellent location choice. :)

Quick word of advice - if one of the ladies of easy virtue offers a "You do something to me, I do something to you" deal think very carefully, particularly if you like not having to crap 15+ times a day.

hehe, love the ladies of the night. i lived there for a year before so i'm well acquainted with the girls. my front door was 15feet away from the really ugly and cheap ones just off the little chinatown area. there's a lot of hot ones though, 50euros is a little expensive though. i wish i was rich so that i could make it rain on all the hot ones. woot woot but no stds or crabs please:mike:
