How do you score long range pile drivers?

My shots always seem to go really off target. Am i missing something here?

The furthest i've scored from is from just outside the box.

Its pretty hard to get it on target.

I'm scoring alot of headers these days. And so is the computer.

That is so unrealistic since i'm using Arsenal

I have no idea how to defend properly. The computer will never fail to score a winner against me on the 90th minute.

It so pisses me off. I'll have to get serious with this game and change strategies and formations everytime i take the lead.

I just scored one in career mode with a crap player. I think it depends on how good the goalkeepers are. If you put it on target against a low skilled goalkeeper then you have a good chance of it going in.

But piledrivers, as in real life, are just a lot about luck. Having space helps but when you go to kick it it could end up anywhere.

i tried the space thing in practice mode. it doesnt work

i created a game with 11 players on one team and 1 goalie on the other. took all sorts of approaches to shoot. Dribbled in, sped in straight, did a few stepovers. But no matter what i do, all the shots seem to go astray.

if you get behind defenders... do a fake shoot and then the real shoot u have a good chance cuz the gk cant see the ball... i scored 3-4 with a darlington striker (scartiscini).. they weren't just outside the box... quite further out... but yeah i got 3-4 goals after trying about 100 times .. its a matter of luck too

who was the crap player ? im sure this crap player would love to know that he is a crap player

I swear, the computer gets bonuses around the 85th minute mark if the game is a tie or they are losing. I was up 4-0 once, and I slipped up a bit in defending and they scored. This does make the game more exciting though.

Anyways, for pile drivers, the higher your shooting attribute the better. You have to be running in the direction of your shot, for example if you are from left going right, and you're running diagnally from top to bottom (maybe running away from a defender), and you want a quick shot to the upper side of the goal, its very hard.

NO WAY i thought shooting was linked to dribbling skills?!!?
