those of you who play football - how have you done this season?

What level do you play at - and how has the seaosn been for you personally?



my club stats are included in the signature below:

GFSN - Gay Football supporters network national league

This is the league which our 1st team play in - and this is the 1st seaosn we have achieved anything other than 1 place off the bottom. The League is likely split in 2 next season - so finishing in the top 5 finish has secured our place in the top division for next seaosn

LUL: London Unity League - Basically the gay London League

The reserve team play in this league. This season we managed out 1st ever victory in this league, and consequently avoided a bottom place finish for the 1st time in the clubs history
Next season the club are entering 2 sides in the LUL and mixing the abilities, so we should be better positioned to get the results.


Personally: I have struggled to make it into the 1st team this season - although I have been on the border of the squad I have only managed 1 appearance as a substitute.

Appearing regularly for the LUL side as 1st choice right back we have managed to stabalise the squad and towards the end of the season started to build some results.

this summer we are heading to Washington DC to take part in the world cup, and we are quietly confident of coming away with medals

My season got off to a dreadful start. Our new coach died and I twisted my ankle which effectively made me miss almost the complete first half of the season.
We were 5th after the winter break. I play for the U18s side.
We got a new coach who has been the best I've ever had. It's been brilliant working with him.
The second part of the season started out well with a 7-2 victory away on my comeback. After that we lost 2-1 away against the team in first. After that setback we won every game finishing either 2nd or 3rd (We are level on points with a team and they have a better goal diff but we beat them, and nobody knows what the rule is).
One of the best matches was when we beat our local rivals away from home 2-0 with 2 late goals.
This was my final year in the youth team and it was a success after a horrible start.
In March I started playing for the men's first team. I've tied down a regular place for now. I've been mentioned in the papers every week since playing, so I seem to be making a decent impression. On Sunday we won a really tight game 1-0 and I was in two different newspapers. It was said that I played very well.
Our first team will get relegated this year and next year we want to have a fresh beginning with the 10 youth players that are pushing through.
Overall the year 2009 has been a good year to follow up the catastrophic year 2008.

how have your results been this season?

We don't have season, its rather tournaments done every year which lasts around 1 month. We don't have enough teams to make a whole season. In my first year we won the 3rd place, second year nothing and third season 3rd place again. I've played as left back for most of the games and right back occasionally. They tried me as left winger for friendly games but I'm better at defending than attacking.
