How many seasons?

Hey ... I've been playing CM4 for quite some seasons now ... I'm changing clubs every second season or so, and I must at least have played 10 season ... Think I'm at year 2014 or something ...

I was just wondering ... Does anyone know how many seasons the game goes on for ? It can't be for ever, can it ? I mean, how many years into the future are you able to play ?

Yeah it ends... Not sure there is a year when it all ends. I think it depends on your age in the game... not 100% sure tho

Well ... It's not that I dislike the fact, that you can keep on playing ... Just wondering what the hell they did for new players ?? Cause ... no one know who's the top player in just 10 years ... or next year, for that matter ... so ... does it just generate random names or what is the deal there ?

DiCi, i think it generates players from the retired ones. So when Ronaldo retires for instance, then another striker of his future quality (and generally the same nationality, to keep the game balanced) will be generated. Its a good idea to scout around the home leagues of retired players (a year or so after they retire) to try and find that replacement.

I think theres utilities you can download (www.thedugout.net) which tell you EXACTLY who these new replacement superstars are. There certainly was for CM 99/00, 00/01 etc.

Longest simulated game I know of was a CM3 01/02 game that ended at 2250 as the savegame got to big (over 2 gig) and so it got corrupted

How on earth did the gamer pull that off? I'm up to 2048 myself and a lot of sweat has gone into it.

The game stops. i'm 99% sure bout that. Just dont know exactly when. My best was in CM01/02, reachin yr 2016-2017. My MC4 best was 2011. And my Cm03/04 is... 2005

Go on holiday and let the game run.

The last CM with a season limit was CM2 where the limit was 30 seasons. That limit was removed in CM3 though so now you can go on forever.

Well, I know in TCM2004 *don't know about the older ones* you can select an option which makes retired players come back as youth players the moment they retire ...

Just think that's kind of crappy ...

But also in TCM2004, your carreer stops when you reach a certain age ... But you get around that simply by altering your birth date a couple of times... wicked...

Just wondering if CM did the same ...

I honestly don't know. I think I began playing it less after 2008 because my team beat Roma 5-1 in the CL Final. I thought the job was done

It was a sureal win. One of their players got sent off for head butting one of my players and one of my players played a 5. Although I did have 3 players play a 10

When u get bored playing your game, then u have to resign and/or find a new team. this will make the game more interesting, as it is like starting a new game, but without knowing all the super-talents, good players etc

That was the thing. I didn't want to lose all I had worked for at that team

Aye, but I had history with the players. Although I did have to do abit of a rebuilding job once I got a bit further. Allot of first team players "needed a new challenge". So their carers went down the pan at smaller clubs.
