yup, it's Canadian. I was told I would eventually get a raise as the weeks pass by but nothing yet after 3 weeks :( ah well, still making the most out of all my friends
It usually takes awhile to get a raise. I started at $9.68 last year at around this time. Since then I've gotten a $.32 cost of living adjustment, a $.45 raise and a $.40 shift differential on top of that. Currently making $10.85.

when they put me on salary that was the last day ever that I worked 40 hours on a week. just 37-38 hour weeks after that :p

lucky bugger :fool:

I'm currently doing land surveys for an archaeological consulting company, so most of my "extra" hours are spend on the road driving up north or hiking in the bush and not actually working so I can't complain too much. In a way it's good being on salary for this type of work because I can't take the equipment out when it's raining, so I usually get a paid day-off if it's too wet...

well I dont work union or for a big company or anything, so there's no set rules for getting a raise. by the time I'm done I hope to be up to $14/hour :p

I get $10CDN/hour working for my Dad's software company. It's a good job cause I don't really do anything and maybe actually work 2-3 hours during a 10-7 work day. Plus I get free lunch and unlimited drinks :D

Currently unemployed, use to work in a very small gift shop, $6.00/hr off the books. I use to just stand there because there weren't many customers. I might get a job as a Teller.

I'm on $8.56 USD an hour at the mo at Booker (Cash and Carry), doing 14 hours a week part time. College have seriously advised about doing more than 10-12 hours a week, but fu'ck 'em i enjoy my job... been there 5-6 months and i'm already Checkout Supervisor :p

The money's not the best in the world, but the benefit of being able to buy booze/food/sweets and much more in bulk makes it all wortwhile (H)
