How much have the gfx improved in WE8 compared to WE7?

How much have the gfx improved in WE8 compared to WE7?

Is it a drastic improvement or is it relatively the same? What is most improved in terms of gfx?

Not much is improved in this department. But still there's some improvement that are welcome. Though I don't really like the lighting effect that much. I think it's overdone.

Overall animation of player movements I think has greatly improved with much more variety.

Fans look better although not overly so.

Faces obviously much better.

Stadiums little more detailed but not sure if better quality texture wise than the edited ones people made for WE7/PES3.

Ball much rounder.

Nets improved a little but were alrready almost perfect.

Yup I agree about the nets. The were improved abit in WE 8. (Especially when the ball hits the net) but when you zoomed during replays, you see that the net in WE7 was better. Other than that it's okay.
Players also move much more freely in terms of body movement. (animation)

Player movement ..reaction....control...freedom, lack of limitations in range of player motion..is NEAR ASTONISHING..IT'S LIFE LIKE.

I always said the nets in WE7 needed to be improved, I thought it was like scoring against a chain net. I think they have perfected the nets in WE8

You need a video, not screenshots. I dont think people here are talking about net graphics (although those in FK are slightly better than WE aswell), but net physics. That's why you need a video. It's just too damn good.;)

Imo...the graphic's juz like fifa's... maybe thats whats make some slowmotion like in the pen box or when the players go out from tunnel

I have seen the videos of Fotball Kingdom, and I agree with the guy! The net animation in FK is really good, better than Pes the net really billow out when the ball hits them..


On animation in WE8/PES4 , in the cut scenes replays of goals is the animation improved over PES3?



I scored a headed goal from a corner but in the replays, the goal animation looked a bit silly, sutton jumped and sent downward header intoi the far corner of the net.

The jump and Suttons animation looked good. But as the ball came in he motioned to header the ball, but the ball never made contact with his head. It look as though it hit an invisable wall about a foot or more in front of my player...

Same with some shots, running on to a ball and shooting looks good but in the replay of the goal, again your player pulls his leg back and strikes but as with the header, the ball never touches the boot its like theres a force-field in front of the boot and the ball flys off of this and not the boot... Header looked rally bad as I said it looked like it his an invisiable wall a foot or more in front of my player...


Not that I am worried about it, but it would add more to the game if it looked like your player in heading or shooting actually touched the ball.

the gfx from we7 to we8 are hardly any different.....die-hard fans will spot the subtle differences but to the man on the street, the improvements are negligible

there are a few new animations but it's pretty obvious that the next "big" improvement will come only when they switch to the PS3

Even a blind man can see that there are improvements in the graphics department.
1. The layout/navigational/menu have been totally redone. It is more user friendly now and more up to date with top sports game.
2. The player's faces have been greatly improved.
3. The colors are more vibrants than before.
4. Yes, the ball is actually round this time.
5. The presentations are much better now.

Other than that, I guess there are no improvements.

1) So what. You may as well list that the DVD-box is a different colour.

2) Only noticable up close and only some have been improved. This has virtually no impact at all whilst you are actually playing the game. You'll be listing the new hairstyles next.

3) Oh really. Yeah, such a drastic difference.

4) Gosh, this is just so obvious. But now I look at WE7 again, I realise the ball was a cube.

5) See number 1).

Let's not forget the grey patch in the players' head now. A fabulous lighting effect.

The games look damn near identical.
