How to change start year of FIFA 10?

NikQ

Youth Team
Hi,

I would like to start a new career up from July 2010. Of course FIFA 10 starts with July 2009 means all players are one year too young.

It is mot possible in CM because you are not able to select a date later than Mai 2010. And I have tried it via the database directly but this is ignored by FIFA when you start your career.

Any idea how to change this and start the first season in 2010? Or any other idea?

Thanks!

I would guess that this is hard-coded into the executable. A quick check finds three instances of four byte integers with a value of 2009, but none of them look right to me and there are far more two byte integers than I care to check. It is also possible that the start point is held as a date in the standard format used by the game (number of days since the start of the Gregorian calendar) but then you'd need to know exactly what date to look for and would have to search for all the possibilities.

Lateral thinking leads me to wonder whether you'd be better off adjusting all the birth dates back by 365 days instead??

Actually I've been around a lot longer than that - over 50 years - but I've been a member here for just under nine of them (first came here trying to figure out how to get a game controller working with FIFA 2001, and have been an occasional contributor ever since)
