how to change the language?

i got the spanish version but my friend wants to play and he dosent know spanish is there a way to change the language

i tried on the options but it wont change for some reason

I have the Italian version and cannot change the language either. I have the Italian version of 2003 and I can change to any of 5 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian.

Phooey to EA if this is a cost savings stunt!
